Rebel Art Summer Camps are full of exploration, creative excitement, and just plain fun. Each week we offer a variety of different media projects (acrylic painting, watercolor, plaster sculpture, assemblage, mixed media, collage, printmaking, and more!), which change each week making it easy for campers to attend multiple weeks of camp without repeating projects. We ensure a good balance between 2D and 3D projects, so whether your young artists prefers to build things and be hands on, paint, draw, or print things they'll be more than pleased!
We break up the week with working outside allowing campers to experience plein air art making, as well as in the studio. Please note that we host camps at the studio on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays while on Tuesdays and Thursdays we meet in local parks. On Tuesdays we meet at Civic Park in downtown Walnut Creek, and on Thursdays we meet at Heather Farms. We keep a close eye on the weather and air quality and will relocate to the studio on those days that are not suitable to be outside. On those days campers will be dropped-off/picked-up at a designated place at the park.
